ROAR Fall 2026 Newsletter
Thank you for your continued partnership and collaboration this school year. As we continue moving through a highly impactful year of work together, we’re excited to share several major ROAR updates designed to further strengthen and support your teams and students. For those of you who have already launched ROAR this fall, you may have already noticed some of these exciting enhancements in action.
New Normed Assessments
We now provide national norms for Morphology, Written Vocabulary, Inference, and Picture Syntax assessments for the first time! Your score reports now include percentile scores, standard scores, and support categories for these measures alongside our existing normed core assessments. This milestone represents tremendous collaboration with our valued partners who participated in ROAR data collection. Read more.
Updated Score Report
Based on continuous partner feedback, we've completely revamped ROAR score report visuals to make data clearer and more comparable. New stacked bar charts replace pie charts, showing student distribution across support categories for all normed assessments in an intuitive format. Read more.
Support System Launched
Our new Zendesk-powered support system provides faster, more efficient assistance for all your needs. You can now submit requests for score resets or report technical issues directly through the dashboard's "Submit a Request" button.
Updated Guidance
We have combined the Educators Guide to Strategic Decision Making and Next Steps into a single resource that now includes our comprehension suite. This updated ROAR Next Steps guidance equips teachers with free, open-source resources to easily guide instructional decisions after testing. As the school year kicks into gear, visit the "Resources" page on our new website to explore these tools and check back for exciting new materials releasing all year long. Read more.
Beyond these critical system changes, we have also been working hard behind the scenes to upgrade our existing assessments and guides. We have upgraded our Phoneme, Morphology, Written Vocabulary, Inference, and Picture Syntax assessments with computer adaptivity. This means your students will experience faster, more reliable testing that adjusts to their unique learning levels in real time.
