ROAR operates through a research-practice partnership model and is offered to schools at no cost through grant-funded research at Stanford University. By collaborating with districts dedicated to advancing literacy research, we can provide high-quality reading assessment tools for free while deepening our understanding of how students learn to read.
We are currently welcoming applications from schools and districts interested in participating in one of our two major research studies. Participation involves an additional 10–30 minutes of assessment that does not generate student scores but contributes valuable data to cutting-edge research on reading and dyslexia. In return, participating schools receive customized professional development, expert-led presentations, in-person assessment support, preliminary school score reports, and access to all assessments and services at no cost.

Work with the partnerships team to complete your Letter of Agreement, Data Use Agreement, and send out Opt-Out Forms
